Joe Strummer - Another one gone and sorely missed. Joe, along with the rest of the Clash, was hugely responsible for broadening Slim's tastes and knowledge of music. Slim's Texas connections all date back to Joe Ely supporting the Clash at London's Electric Ballroom in 1980.
